In 2006, development-led archaeological excavations were conducted on a 2 296 m2 large area on the designated tract of Highway No. 4 (between sections 76+350 – 76+500 km). A total of 102 settlement features from the Sarmatian period and Árpád Age were uncovered, alongside 12 „unmarked” graves and one burial encircled by a ditch. The head of the excavation dated the finds from the Sarmatian settlement to the period between the end of the 2nd century A.D. and the 4th century. |
